bootcamp.jpgVarious artists from the Boot Camp Clik will be performing at free shows in New York City over the next few weeks, the first of which will take place tonight (July 18), and features Black Moon and Sean Price. Black Moon, which consists of Buckshot, DJ Evil Dee and 5ft, who was recently released from prison, will join underground darling Sean Price at Brower Park in Brooklyn at 5:00 p.m. Fellow Boot Camp duo Smif N Wessun are also getting in on the summer fun with their own complimentary performance alongside M1 and, better known as dead prez, at Red Hook on 155 Bay Street in Brooklyn on July 24. Both the Brower Park and Red Hook events are part of New York’s City Parks Summer Showcase. Then, on July 26, Olde English malt liquor is sponsoring a free performance by Black Moon and legendary Houston MC Scarface at the Canal Room in lower Manhattan. At the event, Olde English’s search for a new can design will culminate with the announcement of the winning submission. Sean Price and radio and TV host Ralph McDaniels will serve as judges, and MTV’s Sway will host. DJ Kelly G and Black Moon’s DJ Evil Dee will provide music.
