DJ Muggs and his production company, Soul Assassins, will host a two-day lifestyle event entitled UNITY Las Vegas. Taking place on August 28 and 29, the event brings together music, fashion and art, along with a concert at the Empire Ballroom. The concert will take place on August 29 and features performances by reggae artist Collie Buddz, La Coka Nostra and a set by DJ Muggs and Sick Jacken of Psycho Realm, who will perform cuts off their new album Legend of The Mask and The Assassin.

According to the Daily Press, Pioneering rapper Kurtis Blow will headline the 17th Annual African American Festival in the Hampton’s from June 22 to 24. The festival, which takes place at Downtown Hampton’s Mill Point Park, raises money for the Peninsula Association for Sickle Cell Anemia. Admission is $3 and all of the proceeds will go towards the Peninsula Association.

Memphis MC and Three 6 Mafia affiliate, Lil Wyte, will land on Billboard’s Top 200 chart at No. 46 with his latest LP One & Only. The follow up to 2004’s Phinally Phamous moved around 15,600 units in its first week in stores. Released through Three 6’s Hypnotize Minds and Asylum Records, the project was produced entirely by DJ Paul and Juicy J and features the guest appearances from Triple 6 and Project Pat.
