Fat Joe Will Talk To Cops Regarding Miami Shooting
As previously reported on XXLMag.com, the Miami Beach police are looking to question Fat Joe as a possible witness to a shooting that left two men dead over the Memorial Day weekend. According to the Miami Herald, Joe might have been present during an altercation on May 28 in front of David’s Café II when a group of men in a black Cadillac Escalade allegedly got into a verbal confrontation with another man in front of the restaurant. The argument soon turned deadly when 24-year-old Jermaine “Wufgang” Chamberline pulled out a gun and fired four times at the group. Lessli Paz, 25, and Joey Navarro, 26, were both killed. Investigators believe Fat Joe may have been riding in the Escalade with the group. According to a report by the New York Daily News, Joe has agreed to talk to the Miami Beach police about the incident this week over the phone or in person. Last week, a teenage nephew of Joe told the Daily News the New York rapper was in Russia when the shootings occurred, but Joe’s lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, has denied that claim. Litchman told the Daily News Fat Joe “didn’t witness the shooting” and he left for Russia after the incident took place.
