50-cent.jpgA church on the Southside of Chicago has erected several billboards around the city targeting what they refer to as “trash” rappers. The billboards implore passersby to “stop listening to trash” and feature a list of popular rapper’s names superimposed over a graphic of a trashcan. A press release issued by the Faith Community of Saint Sabina, states that the artists named are being targeted because they demean women and perpetuate violence. "If we are going to end the violence and the disrespect of women, we must fight every form of negativity, including the music industry," said pastor Michael Pfleger. According to church spokesman Vince Clark, the rappers targeted by the include 50 Cent and G-Unit, Nelly, Ludacris, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, Twista Snoop Dogg and “all negative rappers.”
