yung-joc.jpgBad Boy South artist, Yung Joc, joined Georgia State Supreme Court Chief Justice, Leah Ward Sears, to honor exceptional students from the Atlanta area at the Choose Success Awards on Wednesday (May 2). Joc and Justice Sears presented elementary, middle and high-school students from Atlanta Public Schools and DeKalb County Schools with awards for community service and significant improvements in school. Brenda Wood, a news anchor with Georgia's 11Alive News served as Mistress of Ceremonies and Justice Sears addressed the students on the importance of education and service to their communities. Through the Choose Success program, and in conjunction with Atlanta’s Communities In Schools (CIS), students are provided with small grants of up to $800 to carry out service projects within their communities.
