Tru Life Calls Power 105.1 To Discuss Altercation with Cam’ron

tru-life-11.jpgYesterday (May 1), Tru Life called New York City radio station, Power 105.1, to discuss the altercation he had with Cam’ron at a nightclub. Speaking to Ed Lover and Egypt on their morning show, Tru Life voiced his disgust with Dipset. “These Spice Girls been lying on me a whole lot,” he said. “They’ve been going on record saying disrespectful things. They aren’t good for hip-hop. They are promoting gang violence to the children [and] to the youth. I’m a positive fellow. I’m not on no wild, wannabe gangsta stuff. But if somebody calls me out and says they want to fight with me…we can do it like men with the hands. Jim just got punched in his eye last week, he ain’t want to fight me. This thing is personal between us.”

Radio personality Egypt then stepped in to ask about the rumors Tru Life jumped Jim Jones and stole his ring. “We didn’t get him jumped,” Tru said in response. “A 19-year-old kid from my neighborhood punched him in his eye. Now they can be twins — Jimmy Jones and his old girl. [But] yeah, I got the ring on and I put it in their face yesterday, like, “What’s crackin’, man?”

Even though Tru Life was involved in an altercation with Cam, he voiced his displeasure with Jim Jones throughout most of the call. “I feel like he [Jim] owes me more respect. I once protected this kid. I once squashed beef for him in L.A,” he said. “He’s trying to run around and blackmail me with a video tape. This thing gets real ugly and real deep — things that they’ve done. I only had two people with me. You got 7-foot bouncers with you, who you got on your payroll, who you need to fire. ‘Cause this is the second incident and you need to fire them. I was almost disappointed in myself after I socked him in his eye. He started to cry. When I saw a grown man cry, who I thought was once a gangsta….I don’t have no sympathy.”

When asked by Ed Love if this beef could ever be squashed, Tru Life said, “I don’t know.”
