taboo1.jpgAn attorney for Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas pleaded not guilty on his client’s behalf on Friday (May 25) in response to charges of drug possession and driving under the influence. The charges stem from a March 11 incident during which officers in the city of Industry, California found the artist to be in possession of 28 grams of weed and medication for which he did not have a prescription following a minor traffic accident. He was booked and later released on $5,000 bail. According to E! Online, Taboo was not present in the West Covina courtroom on Friday during the hearing. The rapper is due in court on June 28 for a pre-trial hearing. If convicted, he will likely face a fine of around $200, and possibly probation or community service.
