Queen Latifah to Perform at Napa Valley Opera House, Headlining Jazz Festival

Rapper, actress and singer Queen Latifah will make a special appearance at the famed Napa Valley Opera House on July 12. According to the Napa Valley Register, Latifah will perform tracks from her 2004 LP, The Dana Owens Album, a critically acclaimed collection of jazz and pop standards. Tickets will cost $93-98 and are on sale now through ticketweb.com. In related news, the pioneering female rapper is also set to headline the Rehoboth Beach Autumn Jazz Festival in Delaware later this year. The Cape Gazette reports that Latifah will take the stage at the Rehoboth Convention Center on October 12 in support of her upcoming sophomore jazz LP Order In The Court. “Queen Latifah brings the festival to a whole new level,” said Dennis Santangini, president of the festival. “She is such a diverse artist with such an immense repertoire. It’s going to be electrifying.”
