Eve to Be Formally Charged With DUI

Eve will be formally charged today (May 4) in connection with her arrest in Hollywood last week according to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office. Reuters reports that the Philly native will be hit with one count of driving under the influence, registering a blood alcohol level in excess of 0.08 and failing to produce proof of insurance. Eve was taken into custody early on the morning of April 26 after she crashed her gold Maserati into the center divider on Hollywood Boulevard. She was later released on $30,000 bail. The Grammy award winning rapper and actress faces three to five years probation, a minimum fine of $390 and possible entry into a alcohol treatment program. Her arraignment is scheduled for May 17.
