Rocawear Licensing is suing a store in Redondo Beach, CA for selling jewelry with the company’s logo. According to CBS News, the company Jay-Z helped found in the late 90’s filed suit against My Treasures, a store in the South Bay Galleria, for selling jewelry that infringes on the Rocawear logo. The suit, filed in Los Angeles District Court, seeks unspecified damages. Earlier this year, Jay sold Rocawear to the Iconix Brand Group for $204 million.
Fresh off the success of his latest album, Shock Value, producer/rapper Timbaland will debut his new video, “Throw it on Me,” on WWE Monday Night Raw, May 21 on the USA Network. The song is collaboration with the rock band, The Hives, and is the second video off Timbo’s album. “WWE is extremely excited about the opportunity to work with Timbaland,” says WWE’s Vice President of Entertainment Relations, Kristin Prouty. “We promise the [WWE] Divas will help make Timbaland the hottest music video ever.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs is prepping the release of a limited edition fragrance based on his best selling cologne Unforgivable. The new product will be called Unforgivable Multi Platinum and will cost around $65 for a 2.5-ounce bottle reports the Associated Press. “In the world of fragrances, perfumes and colognes, the actual products we use are based on ‘the juice.’ There are different grades of ‘juice,'” Puff said. The scent is said to have hints of bergamot and iris and is subtler than its predecessor. I think a lot of my Sean John stuff is understated, and my style evolution has become more elegant. … I’m more in the luxury lane now,” he explained.
