pharrell.jpgPharrell Williams of The Neptunes has been tapped by Pepsi to design a custom Pepsi can as part of the company’s Design Our Can promotional campaign. The competition, which kicked off last week, will allow the public to create their own Pepsi can designs by going to— — and using online tools or uploading their own. Pepsi will then choose a number of top designs that will be displayed online for customers to vote on. The winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize and have their artwork featured on 500 million Pepsi cans to be distributed across the U.S. Pharrell’s custom can will feature a web address which fans can visit for exclusive footage of the producer and information on his upcoming projects. “I was intrigued by this opportunity because it allowed me to be creative and innovative, which is something that I try to infuse in all of my endeavors,” Pharrell commented in a press release announcing the campaign.
