kanye-west1.jpgKanye West and Ludacris will be a part of a star-studded lineup of performers headlining the U.S. leg of the Live Earth Concert tour on July 7. The event looks to raise awareness about climate change and combat global warming. The concert is founded by Kevin Wall and is backed by former Vice President, Al Gore. It will kick off with a concert in Sydney, Australia, and continue for 24 hours with shows on all seven continents. The U.S. leg, which will be held at Giant Stadium in New Jersey, will serve as the finale. “Capping Live Earth with a blockbuster show like this will ensure we meet our challenge of building a mass audience to combat global warming,” Wall said. “Live Earth will be a monumental event both in terms of entertainment and in turning the tide against global warming.” Also headlining will be Alicia Keys, Akon and Rhianna. Tickets go on sale on April 16 at 10 AM and can be purchased from Ticketmaster or by visiting livenation.com/liveearth. If you are unable to attend any of the shows, no need to worry, the performances will be streamed live on LiveEarth.MSN.com.
