50-cent.jpgOn May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev., 50 Cent will lead boxer, “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather, into the ring for his WBC super welterweight championship fight against “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya. While ushering Floyd to the ring, 50 will perform his new single, “Straight to the Bank,” for the first time in front of a live audience. “50 Cent is a great friend of mine and it means a lot to me to have him walk me into the ring and debut his new song,” Mayweather says. “With this fight being the Super Bowl of boxing, the fans and celebrities coming out to the fight and everyone watching around the world will see the greatest show ever.” 50 also made an appearance on the premier episode of HBO’s De La Hoya/Mayweather 24/7, a four part series that takes a look inside the preparation each fighter is going through for this highly anticipated fight. “It will be great to walk Floyd to the ring for the biggest fight of his career,” says 50. “Fans will get a taste of my new song and then Floyd is going to show the world why he is the best in the business.” 50’s new song, “Straight to the Bank,” is the first single off his upcoming album, Curtis. The LP will be released on June 26 and will feature appearances by Eminem, Akon, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls.
