Rich Boy Lands at No. 3 on This Week’s Billboard Charts

richboy2.jpgAlabama native Rich Boy grabbed the No. 3 spot on the Billboard charts this week, moving just under 112,000 copies of his self-titled debut album. The strong showing was powered in part by his popular single “Throw Some D’s.” Also cracking the Top 10 this week is the legendary Memphis, TN duo, 8Ball and MJG, with Ridin’ High, their second release since signing to Diddy’s Bad Boy South imprint. Ridin’ will land at No. 8 with just under 50,000 copies sold. Elsewhere on the charts, the latest offering from The Notorious B.I.G., Greatest Hits, move another 38,700 copies to land at No. 12. The posthumous release from the Brooklyn MC moved 99,000 copies in its first week on shelves to take the No. 1 spot last week. Chicago rapper Consequence’s Don’t Quit Your Day Job also picked up another 6,500 in sales this week, bringing his total to just over 13,000, sliding several spots to land at No. 139.
