Lil Wayne Sued over Concert Injury

A woman who was injured during a Lil Wayne performance at Tennessee State University is suing the rapper for $150,000. According to The Tennessean, Candice Smith of Kentucky says she was knocked down and trampled by concertgoers rushing to retrieve money that Wayne had thrown into the crowd during the March 2006 show at Gentry Center. The suit, filed last week in Davidson County Circuit Court, asserts that Wayne “knew or should have known that throwing money into the crowd would result in a rush of fans towards the stage, which could cause fans to be injured." Smith claims that she suffered a broken collarbone and other injuries which caused her to miss work and school.
