Jermaine Dupri Honored At Two Award Shows

Jermaine Dupri will be honored at this year’s 21st Annual Soul Train Music Awards and the 24th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards. On March 10, the Soul Train Awards will present JD with the Quincy Jones Lifetime Achievement Award for his work as one of music’s best producers and songwriters. The event will be held in California at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and will be hosted by Omarion and Le Toya. On April 18, JD will add another award to his trophy room – Songwriter of the Year – at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards, which is being held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. It has been a good year for Jermaine Dupri so far. Besides his multiple awards, JD also recently accepted a position as the head of Island Def Jam’s Urban Department.
