ice-t1.jpgColumbia University, the leading graduate school in the U.S., is organizing the Teach, Think, Play: Popular Culture in the Classroom event on March 24 and 25. The conference will explore the power and challenges of integrating popular culture into the classroom. Ice-T will be one of the many celebrities, media professionals and classroom educators speaking. The legendary MC and actor is the star of the new VH1 reality show, Ice-T’s Rap School, which finds Ice teaching students at a Manhattan prep school about hip-hop culture. Students from the show will also speak at the event. The conference will take place at Columbia University in New York City on Saturday, March 24 between 8:15 a.m. and 7 p.m., and on Sunday, March 25, between 8:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. For more information, visit, www.tc.edu/ceoi/teachthinkplay
