Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs are reportedly in talks with cable giant Comcast about launching a new urban themed Video On Demand channel. The New York Post claims that the two moguls attended a meeting at Comcast's corporate headquarters in Philadelphia with Hollywood heavyweights Harvey and Bob Weinstein. According to a source, the meeting was just preliminary and allowed all of the parties involved to get acquainted with one another and kick around ideas about urban programming. Comcast currently owns 50 percent of TV One, the BET networks main competitor, but lacks any sort of hip-hop component to its Video On Demand platform. The Post article also mentioned that Jay and Diddy's involvement would likely serve to attract talent to the new channel should it materialize.
