Philadelphia rapper Gillie Da Kid was released from prison on Friday (February 16) after posting bail. The rapper was arrested on February 6 and accused of running two drug stash houses in the Oxford Circle section of Philly. According to police investigators, who confiscated 89 lbs. of marijuana with a street value of $404,000 from the locations, Gillie and his co-defendants were “supplying numerous drug dealers all over the city.” A statement released by Gillie’s manager Yanna B. states that "he is extremely happy to be home and is resting comfortably with his family. He maintains his innocence and is looking forward to promoting and releasing his upcoming mixtape album The Best of The Gillie Da Kid Mixtapes dropping March 13 on Babygrande Records."
