Darryl “DMC” McDaniels To Play in Celebrity Football Game for Charity

dmc.jpgDarryl “DMC” McDaniels, founding member of legendary group Run-DMC, will participate in the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge to benefit the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, FL on Febraury 3. DMC will be playing alongside former Chicago Bears Quarterback Doug Flutie in the game, which is part of the Super Saturday in the Sand celebration that coincides with Super Bowl XLI, which will be played the following day at nearby Miami Dolphins Stadium. Flutie, who plays the drums in his Flutie Bros. Band, will team up with McDaniels during the game’s 20 minute halftime to perform a rendition of Run-DMC and Aerosmith’s song “Walk This Way.” The two will also be meeting with fans and signing autographs following the game. Attendees can purchase tickets when they arrive at the event or in advance at www.sppsports.com.
