mims.jpgSacramento, CA based radio station KBMB 103.5 "The Bomb" cancelled their Players Club Live concert scheduled for this past Friday (February 9) amidst fears of possible gang related violence. Washington Heights, NY native MIMS and Bay Area duo Frontline were scheduled to take the stage at the Hard Rock Café for the event. The Sacramento Bee reports that police spokesman Sgt. Matt Young cited "credible information" that suggested gang members would be attending the event "in force" so the police notified the events sponsors. KBMB representatives decided to cancel the event in an effort to avoid a disturbance. The station then sponsored an on-air forum on Friday, in cooperation with local police, to discuss ways to avoid outbreaks of violence in Sacramento.
