Sean “Diddy” Combs and the MTV network recently announced open-call auditions for the fourth installment of the popular Making the Band reality TV series in Los Angeles. In past seasons of the show, Diddy has selected groups of young singers and rappers from scores of applicants and offered them a spot on his roster of Bad Boy artists. In this latest installment, Diddy will attempt to put together an all-new boy band. In addition to the open auditions, applicants can also submit audition videos via makingtheband.mtv.com, where viewers will have a chance to vote on their favorite candidates until Jan. 27. In Making the Band 3, Diddy put together the highly successful girl group Danity Kane, whose self-titled debut album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart when it was released in August 2006.
