Eminem’s The Re-Up Compilation Debuts at #2

eminem.jpgEminem and his Shady Records camp make a strong debut this week at #2 with their compilation album The Re-Up, selling just over 310,000 copies to land at #2 on this week’s charts. Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s Kingdom Come continues to decline, falling several spots to #15, but still moving a respectable 101K for grand total just north of 923K. Despite having linked up with Lil Jon and 50 Cent, no strangers to the Top 10 themselves, Atlanta’s Lil’ Scrappy debuted at #24, selling around 84K copies of his sophomore effort Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live. Elsewhere on the charts, Memphis native Project Pat debuts at #64 with his latest Crook by Da Book: The Fed Story, the rapper’s first LP since his completion of a four-year sentence for weapons possession.

    310 k is a great first week sales for a mixtape compilation it has a higer first week sales that most rappers solo albums. Compilation albums dont sell as much as solo album.

    Interscope and Shady records didn’t even spend much money on marketing and promoting the album like they do on solo albums

    Ive been listenin to Reasonable Doubt and Kingdom Come and comparin the two cd’s.
    Reasonable Doubt is definately a classic plain and simple. One of them albums like Illmatic, Doctors Advocate, The Predator and The Chronic where you can listen to the whole album without hatin 1 or 2 tracks. As for Kingdom Come, The Only songs i can listen to are Kingdom Come (Title Track),Lost One & Beach Chair. Says Something bout this album.

This is a mixtape that didnt even feature Em that much, really only 5 songs, the two remixs he didnt really do anything new on. And it still was a hot album. That tells you that Em and Shady are still big, same with G Unit, Scrappy isnt a full G Unit release you idiots, its a joint venture, so how is G Unit dead. Fucking dipshits. Mobb Deeps Blood Money is gold, Banks is gold worldwide, and Yayo is over 800k worldwide, so how is G Unit dead?     I’ve been hearing about the DETOX album for about 5 years- since 2001…it needs to be released…QUICK. and as far as albums for 2006…I would say that tha CLIPSE definetely owned- hell hath no fury is a class act- ask somebody! and the RE-UP is good too- so is Game’s joint- so everybody: stop hatin’, stop taking sides and actually LISTEN. there’s some decent shit out there.
