Other winners included a fresh-out-of-retirement Jay-Z, who beat out fellow music industry moguls such as Diddy and Ludacris for the Hip-Hop Hustler Award. Busta Rhymes took home the award for Best Live Performance. Chicago MC Common beat out several formidable opponents including Lil Wayne and newcomer Lupe Fiasco for the title of Lyricist of the Year. Legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash was honored for his contributions to the genre with the "I Am Hip-Hop" Icon Award. Flash commented, "To get an award for my technological ability means a whole lot more than anything else I've accomplished in my life." The Awards, filmed at Atlanta's Fox Theater and hosted by comedian Katt Williams, will air on Wednesday, November 15th at 9:00 p.m. A partial list of winners is now available at BET.com.
