The Game leads this week’s pop charts with his sophomore offering The Doctor’s Advocate, which sold 358,000 copies in it’s first week, easily surpassing his closest competitor by over 75,000 records. Debuting at #2 is singer/songwriter Akon, who sold 283,000 copies of his own sophomore album Konvicted. Fat Joe’s first project since leaving Atlantic Records earlier this year, the independently promoted Me Myself & I, debuted at #14 with 60,407 copies sold. In other chart news this week, Lil Wayne and Baby moved to #20 with an additional 51,000 copies of Like Father Like Son, bringing them to a total of just over 300K. Harlem Diplomat Jim Jones is still going strong at #25 with his latest Hustler’s P.O.M.E. after consumers picked up another 40,000 copies.
