snoop2.jpgSnoop Dogg, who has been in his share of legal hot water this year, has once again been arrested for possession of drugs and an illegal firearm. The AP reports that the rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was apprehended as he was leaving NBC studios in LA following an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. According to Police Sgt. Kevin Grandalski, Broadus has been charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, possession of a firearm by a felon, and having a false compartment in his vehicle.

The arrest came after police obtained a search warrant for Snoop’s home and vehicle as part of an investigation into his October 26th arrest at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank. Two members of Snoop's entourage, Michael Mingo and Lovell Polk, were also taken into custody on charges of possession of burglary tools and an outstanding warrant, respectively. Snoop was held for seven hours and released on $60,000 bail at around 1:00 a.m. this morning. His attorney, Donald Etra, commented, "As of this point, he stands innocent of all charges. The goal tonight was to get him out of jail. The goal tomorrow is to deal with the case." Snoop is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges on
