fabolous3.jpgEvidence has surfaced that proves an associate of Fabolous was the person who robbed Boston Celtics guard Sebastian Telfair for a $50,000 necklace just moments before the rapper was shot. According to the New York Daily News, a video tape exists that shows one of Fabolous' friends approaching Telfair outside of Sean "Diddy" Combs' restaurant Justin's and snatching his chain while another man acts as a lookout. Telfair then followed the two men into the restaurant and saw them laughing with other members of Fabolous' entourage. Twenty-three minutes later, a security camera captured the rapper’s shooting and the gunman's escape in a gray car. According to the Daily News' source, Fabolous was not believed to be the intended target.

Last night (October 19), police were seeking to question several of Telfair's associates from Coney Island, where the basketball player grew up. Telfair's lawyer, Ed Hayes, commented, "The tape completely supports everything my client said happened that night. He's a lovely young man. It was outrageous what these punks did, and he will press charges." Although he already tried but failed to identify a suspect in a police lineup, Telfair is expected to return to a New York police station later this week to view the security camera footage.
