ali.jpgAli of Nelly's St. Lunatics crew, whose full name is Ali Jones, says he was repeatedly shocked with a Taser stun gun by an overzealous police officer on Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Ali claims he was shocked as many as 46 times by the unnamed White police officer who pulled over his Corvette on McDonnell Boulevard in the Hazelwood neighborhood. He also claims that the officer, who later arrested him for third degree assault on a law enforcement officer, made several unspecified racial remarks during the incident. The Hazelwood police department released a statement claiming that Jones resisted arrest, damaged the patrol car and kicked the arresting officer during the confrontation. Jones responded to the allegations: "That's all bogus. There is no way that I could kick him from the back seat." Jones was additionally charged with resisting arrest and property damage.
