Lloyd Banks’ Rotten Apple Debuts at #3
G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks makes the only noteworthy debut on the charts this week, landing at #3 on Billboard’s Top 200 with around 143,000 copies sold of his sophomore effort Rotten Apple. While still a strong showing, the numbers mark a sharp drop off in sales from the opening week sales of his debut album The Hunger For More, which landed at #1 and sold over 400,000 units back in 2004. Rotten Apple also takes the #1 spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. Elsewhere on the charts, Ludacris’ Release Therapy continues to go strong, racking up and additional 74,000 in sales and retaining his spot in the Top 10.
