Weeks of whirlwind promotional efforts paid off for Sean “Diddy” Combs this week as he landed the #1 album in the country with his fifth studio LP, Press Play. Diddy moved 170,000 copies of the new disc, beating out pop singer JoJo for this week’s top debut. Other debuts this week include Xzibit with his latest disc Full Circle, which bowed at #50 with slightly under 18,000 in sales. Hi Tek, who has helped craft hits for some of hip-hop’s biggest names, lands at #38 after moving about 22,000 units of Hi Teknology 2: The Chip. The Swishahouse compilation disc, The Day Hell Broke Loose 3, lands at #72 with just under 13,000 in sales.
