llcoolj.jpgAccording to the Hollywood Reporter, LL Cool J is scheduled to work with Anthony Zuiker, creator of the smash TV franchise CSI, on an upcoming pilot called The Man for CBS Paramount Network TV. As previously reported, Cool J, whose real name is Todd Smith, inked a seven figure development deal with the network earlier this year for a new dramatic series. In The Man, the rapper will star as an undercover LAPD officer who is also raising three adopted children. The show’s title comes from the character's undercover persona as a hustler who can secure just about anything for anybody on the streets of L.A. Zuiker, who remarked that working with Cool J is a "childhood dream come true," came up with the concept of the character from the rapper’s actual life off-screen as a superstar musician and father of four children. LL and his manager, Jason Barrett, will also act as producers, while Zuicker will write and executive produce the project.
