Honestly, New York rap hasn’t been the same since Jay retired, considering he is arguably the “King of New York” (that’s actually living of course). Post-”retirement” albums for rappers haven’t always been successful ones. However, with Jay’s star power and knack for putting out hits, I hope that he can crank out another BLUEPRINT or BLACK ALBUM–we all know that he probably won’t ever match REASONABLE DOUBT.
