Brooklyn rapper Lil’ Kim will complete her court-ordered month of house arrest this Thursday, August 3, the New York Daily News reports. Kim was released from the Philadelphia Federal Detention Center on July 3 after serving 10 months of a one year and one day sentence for perjury. Immediately upon her release, she reported to a New Jersey-based probation officer and began serving the month of home incarceration at her residence in Alpine, NJ.
For the last few of weeks, the diminutive rapper has been traveling from her home to her attorney Londell McMillan’s office in Manhattan, where she has setup a makeshift headquarters dubbed the Queen Bee Academy. According to McMillan, she has been editing the second season of her BET reality series Countdown to Lockdown, and is getting her business and personal affairs in order. Additionally, Kim intends to establish Lil’ Kim Cares, an organization intended to help women returning to society after incarceration.
