Yonkers, NY rapper DMX will be traveling to the Persian Gulf in the near future with the USO to entertain and meet with U.S. soldiers currently deployed in the area. The trip will be the rapper’s first to the region. The USO (United Service Organizations), established in 1941 during World War II, has for 65 years provided recreation and moral support to U.S. troops stationed abroad. Other notable performers who have traveled abroad or otherwise pitched in to entertain and meet with troops include 50 Cent, Master P and Ludacris. DMX recently debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 charts with his latest LP, Year of the Dog…Again.
