T.I.’s Grand Hustle to Produce First Film
T.I. and partner Jason Geter have successfully pitched what will be the first film from their Grand Hustle Entertainment venture to New Line Cinema, according to a Variety report. The project, tentatively titled For Sale, will revolve around an Atlanta used car dealership where T.I. works as a salesman. Toby Emmerich, head of production for New Line, is reported to have immediately picked up the film after hearing the pitch. The rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, made his acting debut in last year’s ATL which opened at number three in its first week. Grand Hustle, which Harris and Geter founded in 2001, also released the soundtrack for John Singelton’s acclaimed film Hustle and Flow.
