Pimp C’s Pimpalation Debuts at #2

pimpc.jpgPimp C, one half of Port Arthur, Texas, duo U.G.K., is expected to make a strong debut on the charts this week with his sophomore solo project Pimpalation. According to Nielsen Soundscan, Pimpalation moved just under 90,000 units, and it is expected to land the number two spot on the Billboard 200 album chart. In December, Pimp C was released from prison, after serving roughly half of an eight-year sentence for failing to fulfill community service requirements in a prior aggravated assault case. His previous solo album, Sweet James Jones Stories, which was released while he was incarcerated, debuted at #3 on Billboards rap charts when it debuted in 2005.
