Yesterday Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson pushed Foxy Brown’s assault trial back to August 28. The trial was originally set to begin next week. The Brooklyn rapper is accused of assaulting two nail salon employees during a disagreement over a payment in 2004. Judge Jackson also extended an order of protection that the salon workers have against Foxy. The case was almost settled in December 2005, but Assistant D.A. Gary Galperin was not satisfied with Foxy’s statement, saying he did not think she had accepted enough blame for the incident.
