Canadian hip-hop vet Kardinal Offishall cleaned up at the MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday Night (June 18). The Toronto-based artist won in the Best Video and Best Director categories , and picked up a VideoFact award for his hit single, “Everyday (Rudebwoy).” Offishall, who has been a mainstay on the Toronto hip-hop scene for years, is arguably the most visible Canadian hip-hop artist to fans outside of the country and has attracted a worldwide following with his mixture of dancehall, reggae and hip-hop. Established in 1984, MuchMusic is the top cable music network in the country and is usually described as the Canadian version of MTV. This year’s ceremony marked the 17th anniversary of the MuchMusic Video Awards.
