Arrest Warrant Issued for DMX

A White Plains judge issued a warrant for DMX’s arrest today after previously granting the Yonkers rapper two postponements. “We have granted [DMX] a number of courtesies,” said Judge Barbara Leak, according to the Associated Press. “It ends now." DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was scheduled to appear before Leak to answer to a number of traffic violations he picked up on June 2nd for speeding and making unsafe lane changes. His lawyer explained that the rapper had flown from Arizona, where he owns a home, to New York but became suddenly ill and could not make his court date.
