UPDATE: T.I.’s Personal Assistant Killed in Shootout

TI.jpgAccording to the Cincinnati Enquirer, police have revealed the identities of the victims in this morning’s shootout that involved members of T.I.’s entourage. Philant Johnson, T.I.’s 26-year-old personal assistant, died from the wounds he suffered after shots were fired at the vehicle he was riding on Interstate 75. A 22-year-old woman named Janice Gillespie has been listed in stable condition while two other men, 40-year-old Ronald Hausley and 31-year-old Elijah Edwards, were treated and released from the hospital. All four victims were riding in the same van. Witnesses have told the Enquirer that the altercation started when a group of men from Cincinnati became irritated when a member of T.I.’s entourage started throwing money while partying at local after-hours spot Club Ritz. “This is a very sad day for everyone at Atlantic Records and Grand Hustle. Philant Johnson was a part of our family and a true friend,” said a spokesperson for Atlantic Records via statement. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Johnson family, T.I. and everyone at Grand Hustle.”
