Houston Pays Its Respects to Big Hawk at Memorial Service

hawk1.jpgAccording to the Houston Chronicle, hundreds of mourners turned out last night (May 8) to pay their respects to local MC Big Hawk, who was shot and killed on May 1. Hawk, a member of the legendary Screwed Up Click, was remembered as a man who avoided violence  at a ceremony at Houston’s Mabrie Memorial Mortuary. The rapper was shot and killed while on his way to play dominoes with a friend in Houston’s South Side. Police have no motive for the crime and no arrests have been made.

    First and foremost remembering Hawk the Crime and Black on Black or shall I say what ever race, hate, or envy you have it’s time to put all of that aside we have more important things to worry about. You know real issues. Think about this children in poverty, war, jobs, and day to day making ends meet. Before you go to sleep think about what you did today and everyday will change and help the lives you and your love ones. If it isn’t anything positive then you don’t deserve to sleep at night.

    Trae’s albun was suppose to come out the Tuesday after HWAk died but it was pushed back. They have been in Houston showing nothing but love. From the clubs to the block parties. We gone continue to represent and show love to everybody. I hope everybody tka etheir hata glasses and off and show love right back.     It was only a couple of months ago I heard of HAWK! It was the verse on Chamillionaires “Turn It Up Remix”. His verse was flawless, stood out from the rest! I’m from Australia so its slower then ya’ll music (Houston). I feel for the family tho’ RIP HAWK!!! And hold on and be strong The “Hawkins”. Its a pity someone with so much talent (especially when Houston is blowin’ up at the moment!) was taken away on the 1st of May.
