Gunfire Injures 3 At Yo Gotti’s Birthday Party

yogotti1.jpgAccording to a report in the Commercial Appeal, three people were shot early Friday morning (May 19) while attending a birthday party for rapper Yo Gotti at Memphis’ Plush Club. Over 500 people were in attendance when security guards say they heard a single shot ring out in the back of the club at 3 a.m. After the crowd spilled out into the street, police found three men who had been shot. One man was shot in the stomach, after which the same bullet hit two others, causing them minor injuries. According to Memphis police, two large groups of men were arguing before the shooting. While Gotti was in the club at the time of the shooting, his camp has denied any involvement. “He was not injured nor did he participate in a shooting,” said Gotti’s attorney. “He does not condone this type of behavior. His prayers go out to the injured people.”

    I’m from Memphis, so you know I got love for Gotti, but this is one of the rare times he makes national news. The album drop tuesday, but you still only going to sell two records. That’s the problem with some of the rappers in my city, they think small minded and all sound and rap about the same thing. I can’t wait to see his numbers, bet he don’t do nothing outside of a regional standpoint and it’s a shame, b/c he’s not that bad of a rapper. He ain’t too stupid, b/c he’s sitting on three deals, but he could make more if he stopped speaking so small minded. I’ll buy the album Gotti, so I guess that means you’ll sell at least three. Until you step your game up you’ll always be straight, but you’ll never be great.

    I was at the Plush Club when the shooting occured and it’s true Yo Gotti didn’t have anything to do with it or not that we know of. The shooting very close my friends and I and thank God we didin’t get hurt. I’ll never attend an event with ignorant YOUNG people again.
