50beard1.jpgQueens rapper-turned-actor 50 Cent has been tapped by Universal Pictures to star in a new film called Live Bet, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film is described as a character-driven heist story, which is based on real-life underground clubs in New York that place bets on illegal car racing. 50 Cent and Violator’s Chris Lighty will co-produce the film.

Even though I’m not a big fan of him, I did buy his CD and I like only a couple of songs on his album, which’s why I’m not a big fan, and he’s a bit on the commercial side; money songs(Candy Shop,P.I.M.P,In Da Club) I don’t have that much respect for him, he’s still young in the hip hop industry and I believe that he still has a lot of growing up in his music to do.     I only have one point to make here as far as 50 cent is concerned. Alot of rappers just don’t like 50 because of his ignorant mentality. But the bottom line is when you been through the shit he’s been through you have a right to look at life very cautiously. First of all the massacre was only his second official album and its a proven fact that an artist second album is never as great as the fisrt..look at kanye west..he had to amazing albums but even his second album could knock his first. Instead of hating on 50 and his music look at him as an artist that still has time to grow like i said he’s only had to albums.
