Two rappers, Andre “3000” Benjamin of OutKast and Nelly, have been nominated for the Breakthrough Performance award in the 15th Annual MTV Movie Awards. Nelly has been nominated for his role in The Longest Yard, while Benjamin has been nominated for his role in John Singleton’s Four Brothers. Ludacris, DMX and Ice-T have been previously nominated for the same award, but Eminem was the first to win the it in 2003 for his role in 8 Mile. The 2006 ceremony will take place on June 3 in Culver City, CA, and will air on June 8 at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
