Man Allegedly Shot by Proof Dies

Proof4.jpgKeith Bender, the 35-year-old man police believe D12 member Proof shot before being killed himself, died early this morning (April 18) in a Detroit hospital. Police believe that an altercation in Detroit’s CCC Club led to Proof shooting Bender in the head, after which Bender’s cousin, Mario Etheridge, a bouncer, shot and killed Proof. Bender had been on life support at St. John Hospital since the incident occurred early last week. While Etheridge faces two gun-related charges, police said that their investigation into the crimes is still ongoing.

No disrespect to anyone, but I’m an ex-girlfriend of Keith’s from some years back while we were in Fort Hood, and I still have love for him. Just this morning I heard of all this for the first time; I’m not a news follower because it breaks my heart to hear about all the senseless and thoughtless violence against one another. I know that Proof has a lot of fans and family who love him and feel that he was done wrong, but I beleive that had it not been for all the hype in the game, this would not have happened. So to all the rappers and the hip hoppers, and gansters out there, please think before you act. You do not have anything to prove to anyone, especially those of you who are out there making the money. Why the hell do you feel you have to shoot a weapon to prove what? Why the hell would you do anything to risk losing what you had to work so hard to get? How could you disrespect another man’s life? Is being respected worth losing your life?
