D12’s Swift Sentenced to 93 Days for Violating Parole

d12swift.jpgSwift was sentenced to 93 days in prison for violating the terms of his probation in a 2005 drunk driving case because he missed his court appearance last week to attend fellow D12 member Proof’s funeral. In October 2005, the Detroit rapper pled guilty to drunk driving charges and was sentenced to community service and probation. While the probation stipulated that Swift stay alcohol free, he tested positive for alcohol in March, which landed him in jail for a week. After his blood tested positive for alcohol again earlier this month, Swift’s court date was set for the same day as Proof’s funeral (April 19). Following the missed court appearance, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
