Lil Kim’s Pre-Prison Reality Show Premieres Tonight

LILKIM.jpgBET’s new reality show “Lil’ Kim: Countdown to Lockdown” premieres tonight (Thursday, March 9th) at 9:30 p.m. EST. The series will consist of six half-hour episodes, which follow the Brooklyn MC, her family and her entourage during the time leading up to her incarceration. “We take an unblinking look at her life and her choices, and the consequences of those choices,” said BET President of Entertainment Reginald Hudlin in a statement. “We do not turn away from the hard truth of what’s going on.” Kim was convicted of perjury last March for lying in court about a 2001 shootout outside the Hot 97 studios in New York City. She has been serving out her 366-day sentence since September at the Federal Detention Center in Center City Philadelphia.
