Rapper and Def Jam President Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter will appear live on the YES Network’s CenterStage this Sunday (April 2) at 9 p.m., immediately following the Nets game post-show. CenterStage is a live, hour-long interview series hosted by announcer Michael Kay that airs once a month and allows a small audience to ask questions of the show’s A-List sports and entertainment stars. Jay-Z is expected to address such topics as growing up in Brooklyn, his connection to the Nets and his possible return to rap.
The YES Network is a New York City cable network dedicated to broadcasting Yankees and Nets games. Past CenterStage guests have included Derek Jeter, Spike Lee, Mike Ditka and Charles Barkely.
