fatjoe.jpgDespite recent rumors of Fat Joe being dropped from Atlantic Records, the label’s co-chairman Craig Kallman stressed today that the Bronx-born MC is still an Atlantic artist. "Fat Joe is an icon in the hip-hop community—an artist, producer, writer, tastemaker, and entrepreneur with tremendous vision, influence, and creativity,” Kallman said in a statement. “We are proud to have had Fat Joe as a member of the Atlantic family for the past eight years, and we are looking forward to continuing our great relationship with Joe and his Terror Squad label." Fat Joe’s last two albums Loyalty and All Or Nothing have both failed to go gold, selling 250,000 and 287,000 copies, respectively.
