B.G.’s Heart Debuts at #6 on Album Chart, #1 Indie Release

BG.jpgNew Orleans rapper B.G.’s The Heart of tha Streetz Vol. 2 (I Am What I Am) debuted on the Billboard albums chart at #6, selling over 62,000 records in its first week. Fueled by the Mannie Fresh–produced single “Move Around,” the Chopper City/Koch–released album also appears at the #1 spot on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. This marks B.G.’s highest debut ever on the album charts, besting 1999’s Chopper City in the Ghetto, which debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200.
